Our Statement of Faith

The Holy Scriptures

The Bible as whole (Old Testament & New Testament – All 66 books) from Genesis to Revelation is inspired by God and is without any incongruity and contradiction. It is an infallible, revelational knowledge/key given to mankind from God. (1 Thessalonians 2:13, 2 Timothy 3:15-16, 2 Peter 1:20-21)

  • 1 Thessalonians 2:13

For this reason we also thank God without ceasing, because when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which also effectively works in you who believe.

  • 2 Timothy 3:15-16

and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,

  • 2 Peter 1:20-21

knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, 21 for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

The Bible teaches that there is only one true, ever living, eternal God, infinite in power, holy in nature, and possessing absolute, invisible deity and there is no other. (Isaiah 43:10, 45:18, Colossians 1:16)

  • Isaiah 43:10

“ You are My witnesses,” says the LORD,“ And My servant whom I have chosen, That you may know and believe Me, And understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, Nor shall there be after Me.

  • Isaiah 45:18

For thus says the LORD,Who created the heavens,Who is God, Who formed the earth and made it, Who has established it, Who did not create it in vain, Who formed it to be inhabited: “ I am the LORD, and there is no other.

  • Colossians 1:16

For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.

Lord Jesus Christ

The Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of Virgin Mary, dwelled and preached the message of repentance and salvation, was crucified on the cross, died for the remission of our sins and was buried, was resurrected on the third day, ascended into heaven, and is now seated at the right hand of God the Father and is true God, true man and Savior of the world and is to come. (John 1:14, John 3:16-18, Philippians 2:5-7, Revelation 22:20)

  • John 1:14

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

  • John 3:16-18

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.“He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

  • Philippians 2:5-7

Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men.
  • Revelation 22:20

He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming quickly.” Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!

Christian Life and Duty

The ordained officers of the Church are apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, teacher, elders and deacons in order to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ. All elders and deacons are under the direction of the five-fold ministry. And all of these officers shall function under the covering of a local church. (Ephesians 4:11)

  • Ephesians 4:11

And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers

Members/Believers Accountability

Each believer is a priest of the Lord and has direct access to the Father through the Lord Jesus Christ. Each person must believe for himself, must be baptized for himself, obey for himself, and answer to his Creator for himself. (1 Timothy 2:5, Hebrews 4:12-14)

  • 1 Timothy 2:5

For there is only one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus.

  • Hebrews 4:12-14

For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.

The Sacraments

The two ordinances of the Church are water baptism and the Lord’s Supper:

Water baptism by immersion in water in the name of the Trinity is a mark of recognition with Jesus Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. (John 3:5, Acts 8:36-38)

  • John 3:5

Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

  • Acts 8:36-38

Now as they went down the road, they came to some water. And the eunuch said, “See, here is water. What hinders me from being baptized?” Then Philip said, “If you believe with all your heart, you may.” And he answered and said, “I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.” So he commanded the chariot to stand still. And both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water, and he baptized him.

The Lord’s Supper is a cenotaph of the death, resurrection, and second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Luke 22:19-20; 1 Corinthians 11:26)

  • Luke 22:19-20

And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” Likewise He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you.

  • 1 Corinthians 11:26

For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.

Divine Health

Deliverance from sickness includes physical, mental, spiritual and emotional abolition. It is an expiation and dispensation for all believers. (Isaiah 53:4-5, Acts 9:34, 1 Peter 2:24)

  • Isaiah 53:4-5

Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed

  • Acts 9:34

The receiving and the baptism of the Holy Spirit, with the initial sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. (Acts 1:4-8, Acts 2:4, 3 John 1:2)

  • Acts 1:4-8

The Holy Spirit Promised: And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority. 8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

  • Acts 2:4

And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

  • 3 John 1:2

Marriage

The Bible teaches that marriage is a holy covenant ordained by God as a united entity between one man and one woman. (Gen.1: 27-28, 2:23-24)

  • Genesis 1:27-28

So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

  • Genesis 2:23-24

And Adam said:  “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; She shall be called Woman, Because she was taken out of Man.” Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.
